Bolo ties became quite popular in the 70’s and have been worn ever since then by baby boomers who like activities like gold panning and making dream catchers (Fun fact: it become the official neckwear of Arizona in 1971 - New Mexico and Texas also have signed laws stating the same for their states). This groovy piece of man jewelry has made a small comeback in recent years, but unless you live in the southwest it may not be work appropriate.

The pāreu or pareo is the Cook Islands and Tahitian word for a wraparound skirt. Originally it was used only to refer to women's skirts, as men wore a loincloth, called a maro. Nowadays the term is applied to any piece of cloth worn wrapped around the body, worn by males or females.

A Panama hat is a traditional brimmed straw hat of Ecuadorian origin. Despite their name, Panama hats have never been made in Panama. They originated in Ecuador where they are made to this day. Historically, throughout Central and South America, people referred to Panama hats as “Jipijapa,” “Toquilla,” or “Montecristi” hats at the time (the latter two phrases are still in use today).

Damasks became scarce after the 9th century outside Islamic Spain, but were revived in some places in the 13th century.

Yukata are worn by men and women. Like other forms of traditional Japanese clothing, yukata are made with straight seams and wide sleeves. Men's yukata are distinguished by the shorter sleeve extension of approximately 10 cm from the armpit seam, compared to the longer 20 cm sleeve extension in women's yukata.

Angora goats have been in Central Asia since the Paleolithic. They produce the luxury fibre known as mohair. It is lustrous and shiny, warm in winter as it has excellent insulating properties, while remaining cool in summer due to its moisture wicking properties. Today, South Africa is the world's largest mohair producer, producing around 50% of the total world production.
