Arnold Böcklin (1827-1901) was a Swiss symbolist painter. Böcklin exercised an influence on Giorgio de Chirico and on Surrealist painters like Max Ernst and Salvador Dalí. When asked who was his favorite painter, Marcel Duchamp controversially named Arnold Böcklin as having a major influence on his art. Whether Duchamp was serious in this assertion is still debated.

Sir Roderick David Stewart, is a British rock singer and songwriter is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. On 31 December 1994, Stewart played in front of 3.5 million people on Copacabana beach in Rio, and made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for staging the largest free rock concert attendance in history.

"Ad" Reinhardt (1913 -1967) was an abstract painter active in New York. Reinhardt is best known for his so-called "black" paintings of the 1960s, which appear at first glance to be simply canvases painted black but are actually composed of black and nearly black shades. Among many other suggestions, these paintings ask if there can be such a thing as an absolute, even in black, which some viewers may not consider a color at all.

The Knee-length Figure of a Man in an Oriental Dress was painted by Rembrandt in 1632. The other paintings was made by Vincent van Gogh.

The song moved quickly up the dance charts and was Madonna's first single to chart on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play Chart, peaking at number three. Vogue was released in 1990, La Isla Bonita in 1986 and Like a Virgin in 1984.

Marie-Guillemine Benoist was a French neoclassical, historical and genre painter. In 1800, she exhibited Portrait d'une négresse in the Salon. Six years previously, slavery had been abolished, and this image became a symbol for women's emancipation and black people's rights. The picture was acquired by Louis XVIII for France in 1818.

Cosima Wagner (born Francesca Gaetana Cosima Liszt; 1837-1930) was the illegitimate daughter of the Hungarian pianist and composer Franz Liszt and Marie d'Agoult. She became the second wife of the German composer Richard Wagner, and with him founded the Bayreuth Festival as a showcase for his stage works.

Philippe Starck is a French designer known since the start of his career in the 1980s for his interior, product, industrial and architectural design including furniture. In 1983, then-French President François Mitterrand, on the recommendation of his Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, chose Starck to refurbish the president's private apartments at the Élysée.

Correggio was the foremost painter of the Parma school of the Italian Renaissance, who was responsible for some of the most vigorous and sensuous works of the 16th century. In his use of dynamic composition, illusionistic perspective and dramatic foreshortening, Correggio prefigured the Rococo art of the 18th century.
