Pieter Breugel the Elder created three oil paint­ings titled "The Tower of Babel". Un­for­tu­nate­ly, one of them, a minia­ture painted on ivory, is now lost. Of the two sur­viv­ing paint­ings, one is kept in Kun­sthis­torisches Museum, Vienna, and the other in Museum Boijmans Van Be­unin­gen, Rot­ter­dam.
