Real Madrid was playing its matches at Estadio de Chamartín until 1946 year. A year after the Nuevo Estadio Chamartín was opened. Next years club's management changed the stadium's name to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Every member of club's management agreed to this except the president, but he couldn't change the decision alone
