What con­sti­tutes a sense is a matter of some debate, but there are five tra­di­tion­al­ly rec­og­nized: touch, smell, sight, hearing and taste. The term "sixth sense" usually refers in­tu­ition or clair­voy­ance. Abil­i­ties of balance and tem­per­a­ture de­tec­tion, could also be con­sid­ered senses, even though are not tra­di­tion­al­ly rec­og­nized as these.
