Is cold treated by antibiotics?

yes, always
No, never
Yes, but only in case os adults
only if infection lasts more than 3 days
Cold is an infection caused by viruses. Antibiotics however, have only antibacterial and/or antifungal effect, that's why they don't work efficiently during viral infections. Medicament for cold doesn't exist, we can only alleviate it's symptoms (symptomatic treatment) and stimulate body's resistance to fight off infection faster.
