If a gun bullet was made of gold, what properties would it have?

it would be useless
explosive
armor-piercing
similar in its properties to a lead bullet
The density of gold is 19,320 kg/m3, which is higher than uranium (18,800) and much higher than of lead (11,340). The armour-piercing ammo is made of uranium for its high density - golden bullets would work for this purpose even better.
