U.S. presidents questions

On Dec. 6, 1923, the first presidential address was broadcast on the radio. President Calvin Coolidge delivered what is now known as the State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. Mr. Coolidge was known as a quiet man, but he was the first president to use the medium of radio to his advantage.

Leon Frank Czolgosz was an American anarchist and former steel worker who assassinated U.S. President William McKinley in September 1901. Czolgosz was executed just over seven weeks later.

If you didn't know, presidents owned slaves. Richard Nixon was a president who got impeached, but did not own slaves. Ulysses Grant was the youngest president to own slaves! Zachary Taylor is a president who had slaves. Andrew Jackson had the most, 160 slaves, who could never be freed on his will. James Polk had a few 15 slaves.

Reagan displayed a lot of humor. As a microphone test prior to his weekly radio address in August 1984, he said "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
